The French Immersion program targets higher level thinking.  Students must process information, subject matter, and skills in two languages.  Immersion classes begin in Kindergarten and students move up together from year to year.  Certified and native speaking French teachers use the subjects of Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies as a vehicle for teaching the language.  Students applying to the Immersion program after Kindergarten must have prior French language experience and be recommended to apply by a French teacher.  Please call to schedule an appointment with Madame Christiane, chair of the French department.

All students receive French as a second language one to two times per week as an enrichment subject.
